Knee joint pain

Treatment of knee pain aims to reduce pain and improve mobility in patients with osteoarthritis, inflammation or after injuries. When the pain is no longer adequately relieved by medication or physiotherapy, injection treatment can be an effective alternative.

During the treatment, local anesthetic (sometimes in combination with cortisone) is injected directly into the knee joint or into specific nerves to reduce inflammation and block pain signals. The procedure is performed with the aid of ultrasound or X-ray for increased precision. The effect is often noticeable within a short time and can provide both diagnostic guidance and significant pain relief.

For longer-lasting problems, the blockades can be repeated or supplemented with pulsed RF or radiofrequency treatment. The goal is to reduce pain, improve mobility and quality of life, and enable continued physical activity without discomfort.
